Reitzer set out to expand its national footprint within South Africa’s spaza channel, recognising the importance of consistent brand presence in one of the country’s most influential everyday retail environments. Spaza shops remain a critical touchpoint for frequent, convenience driven purchases and play a central role in township economies. To achieve this expansion, Reitzer appointed MegaVision Media to build on previous spaza work and scale it into a more structured national rollout.

The brief was clear. Leverage existing learnings from earlier executions while increasing reach, consistency and impact across a wider network of stores. This meant moving beyond isolated installations and developing a repeatable approach that could work effectively across different regions, store formats and township contexts.

MegaVision Media managed the rollout from planning through to execution, applying deep local insight to ensure each installation was both visually impactful and practical for store owners. The focus was on creating strong brand visibility in high traffic locations while respecting the realities of spaza retail, including space constraints, varied store layouts and long trading hours.

By building on proven spaza formats, the campaign delivered a cohesive look and feel that reinforced Reitzer’s brand identity at street level and in store. Each installation contributed to a growing national footprint, helping the brand achieve stronger recall and familiarity among shoppers who rely on spaza shops for daily purchases.
