MegaVision Media delivered a targeted field activation to support Sensodyne Cavity and Sensitivity, focusing on education, trial and immediate conversion in high traffic retail environments. The objective was to engage consumers directly, demonstrate product benefits in a tangible way and influence purchase decisions at the point of interaction.
Trained brand ambassadors were deployed at carefully selected locations to ensure maximum reach among everyday shoppers and commuters. Ambassadors engaged consumers through structured conversations, explaining the benefits of Sensodyne for cavity protection and sensitivity relief while addressing common oral care concerns. A key feature of the activation was the use of chill tests, allowing consumers to experience sensitivity relief first hand and connect the product benefit to a real sensation.
Product sampling formed an important part of the execution. By placing samples directly into consumers’ hands, the campaign encouraged trial beyond the initial interaction and extended the impact of the activation into the home. Education and sampling worked together to build confidence in the product and reduce barriers to switching or first time use.
In addition to consumer engagement, valuable feedback was collected through in-person surveys. These insights provided a clearer understanding of consumer perceptions, sensitivity issues and purchase drivers, helping inform future communication and activation strategies.
To convert engagement into sales, incentive-driven promotions were used to encourage immediate purchase at participating retail sites. Activations took place across a mix of high volume and high frequency locations, including Makro, Shoprite stores, busy taxi ranks and Engen forecourts. This multi-channel presence ensured the campaign met consumers in different moments of their daily routines.
